Set a right temperature in Summer and Winter for your laser machines

Laser Source Working Ambient Requirements:
Installed on even surface, no vibration, no shocking
Ambient temperature: 10~40℃

Relative Humidity: <70%



Notice: 



*In high temperature working environment, cooling temperature below dew-point will result in dew damage to laser source and laser head.

*In low temperature working environment, anti-freezing action should be taken to protect laser and processing head.

Dewing Preventing for High Temperature in Summer


1) Install separate air conditioner for laser source.

Laser source’s dew-point will be reduced by cooling and dehumidification function of air-conditioner. Generally, the temperature of industrial air-conditioner should be in consistency of cooling water.

-For ambient temperature below 38℃, in most cases, air conditioner keeps laser at safety level. However, there may still be dewing /condensation phenomenon on the surface of laser source housing. Once there is running water drops leading to strain around laser, please create another safety working condition without dewing-phenomenon for laser.

-For ambient temperature exceeding 38℃, the cooling capability of air conditioner will not be enough for laser source. Dewing phenomenon could hardly be avoided inside and outside of laser source. Therefore, obvious heat source should not be placed nearby laser (Direct facing of the hot-blast outlet of water-cooling system should be avoided).


2) Using Dewing Temperature Table (download the table)

*Adjust the temperature in accordance with dewing temperature table will reduce dewing risk of laser and processing head effectively.

Adjustment principle as following:

To bridge the gap between laser working temperature and its cooling temperature.

1) Keep low temperature water within 15~30℃, not lower than dewing temperature of inner laser, and moreover close to 25℃.

2) Keep room temperature water within 5~30℃, not lower than dewing temperature of  processing head working condition and close to ambient temperature at the time.

Notice:


In case the temperature and humidity range of the day is wide, the dewing temperature should be set based on maximum possible value of the two factors. Or laser and processing head could be damaged.


Anti-freezing Action in Low Temperature (in Winter)

The cooling water in laser system could freeze in larger volume especially deionized water and purified water. Thus, system cooling pipes &connectors, laser source, laser processing head and water-cooling device may be destroyed. The three promising solutions are below:

1) In situation there is not power failure definitely, keep water-cooling device working under power saving mode with low-temperature water and room temperature water in range of 5~10℃ and coolant liquid in circulation state with temperature above freezing point.

2) Empty all water /cooling liquid in laser, laser processing head and water-cooling device.

3) Add anti-freeze fluid as cooling fluid.
